Surplus Vehicles for Sale by Sealed Bid

Iredell Water Corporation is accepting sealed bids for several surplus work trucks through January 20th, 2026. All vehicles are sold as-is, and each vehicle must be bid separately.

Available Vehicles

1992 Chevrolet 3500 – Utility Bed (4x2)

  • 75,709 miles
  • V8, automatic transmission
  • Utility bed with pipe rack
  • White exterior / blue interior
  • Vinyl bench seat & flooring
  • A/C, AM/FM radio
  • Known issues: Engine has a broken rod (parked for 5+ years), paint flaking, utility bed rust, radio and A/C may not be functional.

2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 WT (4x4)

  • 188,091 miles
  • V8, automatic transmission
  • Extended cab
  • Vinyl 40/20/40 split bench seat w/ center console
  • Vinyl floor, A/C, AM/FM, cruise control
  • Tow hitch receiver, spray-in bed liner
  • Sho-Me strobe pack w/lights
  • Known issues: Driver-side door cracked at both hinges. Air Bag Service light-Passenger side air bag clicks at startup.

Bid Submission Details

  • Deadline: All sealed bids must be received by 4:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
  • Selection: Bids are expected to be awarded January 21st, 2026.
  • Tie-breaker: Earliest received bid will prevail; if required, highest bidders may be asked to resubmit.
  • Payment: Certified bank check required. Awarded bidders must take possession of vehicles within five business days.
  • Viewing: Trucks may be viewed on-site during normal operating hours; vehicles cannot be test-driven.

  • Year/model of truck being bid on
  • Bid amount

All bids must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Vehicle Bid.”
Each truck must be bid on separately. Iredell Water Corporation reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
